Libyan Desert Glass, also known as Libyan Gold Tektite, is a natural glass believed to have formed over 29 million years ago during a meteorite shower event that occurred in the Sahara Desert between modern-day Egypt and Libya.
The formation of Libyan Desert Glass is a result of the intense heat and pressure generated by the impact of a meteorite striking the Earth's surface. The meteors struck the desert sand with scorching hot temperates which transformed the sand into Silica, the material that composes Libyan Desert Glass. Silica only forms in temperatures of over 2,900 degrees Fahrenheit.
Libyan Desert Glass is believed to have healing properties that include:
- Enhances creativity and imagination
- Increases energy and vitality
- Helps with spiritual growth and awareness
You will not receive the exact item shown. Please allow for variations in color, size, shape, and imperfections as each Libyan Desert Glass is unique and one-of-a-kind. Shipping is 100% insured. We proudly back this Libyan Desert Glass with our 30-day money back guarantee.
