A one-of-a-kind piece by fine art jeweler Larry Vasquez, named for a story he wrote himself. In it, a walk through the woods leads him to an old fiddler playing for a swarm of dragonflies. When he gets closer, he sees they’re actually fairies dancing to the music.
Three Royston turquoise cabochons (135 ct total) sit at the center in hand-finished 22K gold cups. They’re joined by two 18K gold hooks set with rubies (0.46 ct total). Three strands of Mediterranean coral run from the centerpiece, mixed with turquoise beads Vasquez cut by hand from seven classic American mines: Carico Lake, Damele, Royston, Indian Mountain, Blue Gem, Tyrone and Bisbee. He also hand-made the 24 spacers in 22K gold, and all jump rings are 18K gold.
- Strand lengths: 24", 26" and 28", layered from shortest to longest
- Wear: Slips over the head, so there’s no clasp to work. The shortest strand rests just below the collarbone and the longest falls a few inches lower.
It comes with the artist’s signed, handwritten story card.
