Using Crystals for Mindfulness: Everything You Need to Know

Did you know that the number of people who practice meditation has tripled since 2012? It is one of the most popular mind and body practices out there, but what if it does not work for you? Consider adding crystals to your routine to enjoy the power of healing.

Read on to learn more about how to start your journey with crystal healing.

Choosing Your Crystals

The first step of attempting crystal healing is to choose the right crystal for you. You should also be willing to get into meditation if it is a new concept to you. A common stone for mindfulness is amethyst because it helps relieve stress.

Mindfulness may be difficult to get into because you may be in a time crunch or feel too tired. When you regularly practice, it becomes a natural part of your self-care routine. Try to do a few minutes of yoga with gemstones a day, even if it is only five minutes.

To get started, pick an area where you won't be disturbed. If you want a cozy feeling room, set the thermometer to a comfortable temperature and fix the lighting to your liking.

If you already have a meditation routine, you only need to add natural stones to begin your journey with crystal healing.

Cleanse Your Crystals

Before beginning the mindfulness process, you should cleanse your crystals. There are several ways to do this, such as pushing crystals through incense, using chanting sounds, exposing crystals to sunlight or moonlight for a few hours, or putting your crystals into saltwater.

Depending on the particular crystal you choose, you may have to use a specific cleaning method. Knowing how to cleanse crystals is essential to the process.

Grounding

If you try a guided crystal meditation, grounding will often be explained to you. If you decide to try crystal healing on your own, you can ground yourself by asking your highest self and higher beings to help you during the mindfulness session.

With crystal mindfulness, your intentions should always be for the highest good to humanity. You also need to speak to your crystals and ask them permission to use their vibrations. By connecting with your intuition, you can feel the answer.

During the session, stay relaxed and feel where the energy of the crystals takes you. You can close your eyes or keep them open for maximum alertness. The point of the session is to do what makes you most comfortable.

If your mind starts to wander, don't get down on yourself. This is normal and will happen from time to time. Use the energies of the crystals to bring you back.

Time Yourself

Because you put the crystals on your body during the session, it is important to watch your timing. In general, you should not keep crystals on your body for more than 20 minutes. If you feel uncomfortable because of the crystals, take them off before then.
