Kalifano's Guide to the Forum and Canal Shops

Visiting Las Vegas can be a whirlwind, and with so many things to pack into a trip, it can feel overwhelming! Most people know that you can come see us at Kalifano for a gemstone globe or a unique crystal or sculpture, but we also consider ourselves to be Las Vegas experts. Follow along for a few of our top recommendations to really maximize your time in Vegas!

The Grand Canal Shoppes at the Venetian and the Palazzo

The Grand Canal Shoppes is a stunning mall set up to resemble the streets of Venice, Italy—complete with an indoor/outdoor canal and cobblestone streets. This mall is home to our flagship store, along the Grand Canal on your way to the delicious food court.Longtime Kalifano team member Tiffany recommends taking a gondola ride on the water to enjoy the views and let the lovely singing of the gondoliers transport you to Italy. Another Kalifano favorite is Carlo’s Bake Shop, where you can taste all the sweet treats and classic Italian desserts that made “Cake Boss” Buddy Valastro a celebrity chef and TV sensation. My personal recommendation is the lobster-roll, which has been a staple of the family’s menu since 1910 and now comes in salted-caramel and cookies-and-cream flavors!

The Forum Shops at Caesars Palace

The Forum Shops is a shopping mall that is renowned for its impressive architecture and ambience inspired by ancient Roman society. Kalifano has been in the Forum Shops for the last 3 years, currently on the main floor of the mall. We can be found across from Casa Fuente, the only place inside the mall where guests can enjoy a fancy cigar along with cocktails. The food options inside the Forum Shops are seemingly endless. Joe’s Seafood, Prime Steak & Stone Crab is a very well-known restaurant, with a full dining room night after night. On any given day, you might run into Kalifano company owner Alex having a business meeting or family dinner, His favorite meal from Joe’s is the Dover sole in brown-butter sauce finished off with a slice of banana cream pie. If you are more in the mood to shop, the Forum Shops has a wide range of stores to choose from; a personal favorite of many Kalifano team members is H&M. This H&M location is the second largest in the world, with three floors full of women’s, men’s, and children’s clothing and accessories, as well as a live DJ who mixes tunes from a balcony on the second floor. If you are looking for something to do that is both family friendly and free, be sure to catch the Fall of Atlantis show located next to the Nike store. It features large animatronic statues, fire, steam and a dynamic 10-minute story line in which the characters fight for control of the city of Atlantis.

It truly is impossible to highlight all the great things to do in Vegas, but you really can’t go wrong with whatever you choose to do—the city is an epicenter of some of the best shopping, dining and entertainment in the world. We at Kalifano hope that visitors to Vegas get a chance to see and experience as much of it as possible, including our favorite spots. And if you ever see a Kalifano employee in person, feel free to ask for our recommendations—we love sharing our awesome city!

Jessica Magallon is a Southern California native, growing up in Glendale, CA with her parents and 2 brothers. Growing up, Jessica was very involved in sports, playing soccer from age 4 until her second year in college. She moved to Las Vegas in 2014 to finish pursuing a Bachelors of Science in Business Management, and decided after graduation in 2017 to stay permanently and trade in her California roots for a Las Vegas life. She loves live music and dancing, and is on a personal mission to find the best tacos Las Vegas has to offer! Jessica has been with Kalifano since early 2017 and enjoys going to the warehouse to hand pick items to be sold inside our stores. Some of her favorite Kalifano items for sale (and that are part of her personal collection) include our hand-made Gemstone globes, our beautiful blue Celestite Geodes and our Native American Turquoise jewelry. She can be found most nights at Kalifano’s Forum Shops location- feel free to stop in and say Hi!
