For example: My fish’s head faces right, the image faces left. Mine looks a little less bloated (hehe), but by no means skinny. The striations in the rock are not the same in mine, slightly different. All evidence of the fossils being unique from each other.
It’s a trip seeing the tiny little bones of the fish, on the body and the fins, and seeing the spine run down it’s length. Makes me want to touch it, but my husband pointed out I’m already getting too many fingerprints on it. I can’t help it! It’s freaking cool!
Note: My fossil weighed 1 lb, 3.3 oz. Measures 7” wide x 5” tall x 0.5” thick.
The size of it (LxW) groups very well with the size of Kalifano’s mosasaur. I display them together. It works out well they share a color palette- it’s as if they were meant to be together!
