Canadian Ammonite with Ammolite

We are proud to share this exquisite museum quality, one-of-a-kind, Ammonite with Ammolite-- a rare substance that is a fossilized form of the mineral Aragonite.
Ammolite is extremely rare as it only comes from the Placenticeras meeki species.
This specimen was uncovered in southern Alberta, Canada. We estimate it to be 70-135 million years old. Ammonites can be found all over the world, but Ammonites with Ammolite are only found in southern Alberta.
This one-of-a-kind museum quality specimen stands proudly on a custom built, rotating, stainless steel stand for safe keeping and beautiful presentation.
As Ammolite is only found in this specific area, with this specific species, each day it is becoming increasingly more difficult to find Ammonites with Ammolite; let alone a specimen with a wide range of vibrant colors like this piece.
Please note that this specimen requires special care - exposure to water and other chemicals will damage it over time. If you would like to polish this piece (along with other Ammolite specimens) please only use a dry cloth.
